You’ll see:
- Most views by city
- Most views by device
- Most views by source URL
- Total time watched
- Average time per view
As well as which of your videos had the following:
- Most views
- Most finishes
- Most likes
- Most comments
Video report
Select Video report from the dashboard menu on the left side of the page to see the following:
This graph will show you the overall views of your videos within the time frame that you have selected. Hovering over a point on the graph will display a statistical breakdown of up to 10 of your selected videos, with the highest performers displaying first.
If you want to dig deeper, the drop-down menus above the graph will allow you to customize your view to obtain an even more detailed summary of how your videos are performing, including - Views, Impressions, Finishes, Downloads, Likes, Comments, Unique Viewers, Unique Impressions, Average Percent Watched, Average Seconds Watched, and Total Time Watched.
On the video report table below your graph, you will find all of your video data synced from your videos for the selected time frame:
Selecting a video by clicking the checkbox to the left of the video title will add the video to the list displayed when hovering over the video report graph. You can select up to 10 videos to add to the list. You can also export the video analytics to a CSV.
Clicking on Switch to classic view, near the upper-right hand corner of the Video Report page will bring you to the previous layout design of your Video Report, where you’ll see the following:
This graph will show you the breakdown per each video of the views on your videos. Clicking Play or dragging the play bar will show you the engagement graph, which lets you see how much of your video your viewers are viewing. You can also apply advanced filters, which allow you to filter by region, device, source URL, and video. A set of arrows will allow you to side scroll from video to video.
Under the graph is a table version of your data, sorted by video. As with other reports, you can edit what you’re shown in the table by clicking Manage table under the map. You can also export the video analytics to a CSV.

When we record an impression or view on your video but are unable to determine the device, location, or website where it originated, we count it toward your total analytics under "Unknown." Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to recover additional data from those visits. It simply isn't available to us!
Social Video report
Select Video report under the Social section to see the following:
This graph will show you the views on your videos broken down by the platforms where you have published the video. Hovering over the lines of the graph will display the data from all the videos you have published to YouTube and Facebook. You can also apply advanced filters, which allow you to filter by video.
The table you see on the social video report differs from the table you see on other advanced analytics reports. On the social video report table, you will find the following data synced from your published video: views, shares, likes, comments, total time watched, average percent watched, and average time watched.
You’ll also be able to apply advanced filters to sort the videos displayed on the graph by date, video title, and ‘platform’ using the drop-down menus at the top of the graph.
Users can view engagement metrics for all of the videos they've published to YouTube and/or Facebook, even analytics data for the videos published to their YouTube or Facebook accounts not through Vimeo. This allows you to streamline your workflow, and view all of your video analytics information in one central location on Vimeo.
To access this report, you’ll need to first connect your Facebook or YouTube account to your Vimeo account through the Connected Apps section in your account settings.
Social Platform report
While the Social Video Report allows you to view analytics for individual videos published to either Facebook or YouTube, your Social Platform Report allows you to compare the analytics of all videos by social platform. This will give you an overview of which social platform your videos are performing best on.
In this report, you’ll see an overview of your video performance by platform, which can be sorted by individual (or groups of) videos. Like the Social Video Report, you will be able to view analytics data for videos on your YouTube and Facebook accounts, even if they haven’t been published to those platforms through Vimeo.
You can apply advanced filters to sort the videos displayed on the graph by date, video title, and ‘platform’ using the drop-down menus at the top of the graph. The data being displayed can also be filtered by views, shares, likes, comments, total time watched, average time watched, and average % watched.
To access this report, you’ll need to first connect your Facebook or YouTube account to your Vimeo account through the Connected Apps section in your account settings.
