Features on the iOS App
The Create app offers all the tools that are available on desktop. You can browse templates or start your video from scratch and then customize your video further using the editor. You can also view all your drafts and saved videos from your account through the “My Videos” tab.
From the app, you can use publish to social to send your new video file to any of your connected social platforms.
Getting started
To start creating your video, you can create an account or login to your existing Vimeo account. If you don’t have an account, you can continue creating videos as a guest.
Guests can demo the app while Basic, and Plus users can publish certain videos they have created as long as the videos follow these guidelines:
- Create videos up to 30 seconds long
- Videos can only include specific "free" features and content
- All videos saved will include a Vimeo watermark
Guests, Basic, and Plus users are limited to 10 drafts and cannot save the video to their Vimeo account or access publish to social with the draft video. Basic and Plus users can upgrade their account in the app through the settings. Please see this article for more information on in app purchases.
Publishing to social
After you have saved your creation to your Vimeo account, you can publish the video to Facebook and Youtube. When you publish a video to a social platform, we send the the highest transcoded file to their platform for transcoding.
Currently we do not support publishing to Instagram through our publish to social tool. When you share to Instagram through the app, your video will be downloaded to your device and shared directly to Instagram. This means we will not be able to collect any statistics through Instagram.
Viewing social analytics
We collect social analytics through the API for the specific social platform. The video data from that platform will be synced into your Vimeo account and viewable through the Vimeo Create app or on desktop within the video’s settings page. On platforms where posts can be reshared (i.e. Facebook), we can only collect the data from the original post. You will notice that Facebook separates views from the original post and from shared posts.
Viewing app as a guest
You can use the app as a guest without creating a Vimeo account or logging into an existing account. Once you login or create an account, anything you created in drafts as a guest will be automatically synced.
Reporting a bug on the iOS app

Don’t forget to include information about what mobile device you're using, as well as any steps we can take to try and replicate the issue from our end.
