Vimeo On Demand makes it easy to sell your videos online. Follow the steps below and your titles will be available for sale and rental in no time.
Step 1: Upgrade to Vimeo PRO, Business, or Premium
To access Vimeo On Demand and start selling your videos directly to your audience, you need to upgrade to Vimeo PRO, or higher, account level.
Step 2: Create your Vimeo On Demand title
Once you’ve upgraded, you can create a new Vimeo On Demand title here: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/create. You’ll want to decide if you’re selling a single film or series of videos.
Step 3: Customize your title
Then tell us about your work! Add a title, description, and more to give future viewers an idea of what you’re selling.
After that, get into the nitty gritty: decide if you want to offer your work for Rent, to Buy, or both. Upload your trailer and featured video(s) directly to the VOD page, or add them from your account if they’re already there. Then upload a poster and customize the On Demand page to perfectly match your work.
Set your prices, choose any additional settings (such as rental period or available regions), or add some bonus features, and you’re ready to publish!
Bonus content is free by default, but you can choose to put it behind the paywall on a video-by-video basis. For example, you could offer some free bonus videos and others that can only be watched after your buyer purchases the title itself.
Step 4: Spread the word
Spread the word to your fans via social media channels, email, flyers stapled to telephone poles, skywriting, and whatever other methods you devise. We provide the technology, but the marketing is up to you!
Step 5: Get paid
We'll notify you every time you make a sale, and you'll get 90% of your sales after transaction fees in a PayPal payment once a month.
For example, a $10 VOD purchase from a buyer based in New York would get you about $7.80. (Taking out transaction fee of $0.48, applicable tax of $0.85 and the revenue sharing of $0.87).
